SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Yonhap) -- Kim Tae-yi (real name Kim In-sik, 28), an influencer who gained popularity through the reality dating show "Transit Love 2," was recently handed over to the prosecution on charges of drunk driving.
According to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, Kim allegedly drove under the influence on Sept. 15 in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, hitting and injuring a pedestrian. Kim reportedly admitted to the drunk driving charges and appeared for police questioning. The police subsequently transferred the case to the prosecution on Oct. 7.
Kim’s agency, Esteem Entertainment, released a statement saying, “Kim was seated in his vehicle after calling a designated driver when a building manager asked him to move his car. Unfortunately, a minor accident occurred involving a pedestrian during this brief movement.” The agency added that Kim is remorseful for his actions, and they apologize for the incident.
Kim, previously active as a bit-part actor and model, gained public attention after appearing on Transit Love 2 in 2022. He is now a popular influencer with over 430,000 Instagram followers.
