SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Yonhap) -- Amorepacific's social contribution program "Meet Your Beauty Academy" successfully completed its first program in India on Oct. 10, the South Korean beauty giant said on Wednesday.

The program, organized in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in India's National Capital Region, was designed to strengthen the beauty-related practical skills of local young people and support their economic independence. A total of 65 participants completed the training.

The program consisted of three tracks -- beauty, digital, and employment and entrepreneurship skills -- across seven sessions. Based on an understanding of the beauty industry and K-beauty, participants learned content planning, filming and editing, online communication, personal portfolio development, and basic skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.

Each session combined in-person training, assignments and expert mentoring, allowing participants to turn what they learned into concrete content and portfolios.

Following the training, outstanding graduates will be given opportunities to collaborate with Amorepacific brands that have entered the Indian market to plan and produce content. The initiative will help participants apply the skills they learned during the program to actual projects and gain practical experience.

Lee Sun-joo, executive vice president of Amorepacific's public relations division, said, "It is meaningful to be able to support young people's career exploration through the Meet Your Beauty Academy in India following its launch in Korea."

"We will support young people in applying the skills they learned through the training to actual projects and gaining experience through collaboration with our Indian subsidiary and Amorepacific brands operating locally," she added.

Amorepacific plans to continue monitoring the outcomes of the program and follow-up collaborations while supporting young people's skills development and career exploration at home and abroad through social contribution programs including "Meet Your Beauty."
