SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- Actress Lee El will become the new DJ of SBS Radio PowerFM's "Cinetown."
SBS said Friday it has selected Lee El as the successor to Park Ha-sun, who has hosted "Cinetown" for six years.
Park will step down from the program after her final broadcast on Nov. 1 to focus on her primary career as an actress. Lee El will take over starting Nov. 2.
The production team said Lee El "has a broad perspective that encompasses not only films and music but also listeners' daily lives," adding that it expects her to become "a DJ that listeners will want to keep by their side for a long time."
"Cinetown," which launched in 1999, is a film and music program that airs daily from 11 a.m. to noon.
Song Seung-hwan, Shim Hye-jin, Lee Seung-yeon, Kong Hyeong-jin, Park Sun-young and Jang Ye-won are among those who have previously served as DJs of the program.
