SEOUL, Nov. 3 (Yonhap) -- Musinsa, a leading South Korean fashion platform, said Tuesday it has expanded the application of its "AI Trend Curation" system to 12 fashion and beauty categories.
The system uses artificial intelligence to proactively analyze fashion and beauty trends outside the platform and suggest products. It was first introduced to the hat category in June.
Unlike personalized recommendation systems based on customers' past purchase histories, the system allows users to search for products using familiar expressions such as "face-obscuring hats" and "effortlessly stylish baseball caps."
In fashion, Musinsa has expanded the system to everyday clothing, including knitwear, sweatshirts and jeans, as well as winter outerwear such as padded jackets, coats, and shearling and fur products. In beauty, the system has been applied for the first time to essences, serums and ampoules.
Musinsa also plans to apply the system to all products by the end of this year.
A Musinsa official said, "We will introduce AI curation that precisely reads customers' needs and the latest trends across fashion and beauty."
