SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) -- "Zero," a song NewJeans released in collaboration with beverage brand Coca-Cola, has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, the group's agency said Thursday.
"Zero" had accumulated 100,112,208 streams as of Monday, becoming the 17th song by NewJeans to surpass 100 million streams, according to the band's management, ADOR.
"NewJeans has demonstrated its music power by achieving more than 100 million streams not only with songs from its official albums but also with advertising music," ADOR said.
Released in April 2023, "Zero" is an advertising song produced by NewJeans and Coca-Cola as part of the "Coke Studio" collaboration project. The song combines various elements, including pop, R&B and Jersey club rhythms, creating a refreshing yet sophisticated sound.
The combined number of Spotify streams for all songs released by NewJeans has surpassed 8.2 billion.
Meanwhile, former member Danielle released her self-written song "Stay" on her YouTube channel Thursday morning, the fourth anniversary of the formation of NewJeans' fandom, Bunnies.
In the 1-minute, 34-second video, Danielle, wearing a headset and holding a microphone, performs the lyrical song.
According to the video's credits, Danielle wrote both the lyrics and music for "Stay" on her own.
