SEOUL, Sept. 10 (Yonhap) -- Musinsa Beauty said Wednesday it will open its first standalone offline store, "Musinsa Beauty Hongdae," on Thursday, featuring more than 12,000 products.
The store spans 1,262 square meters across one basement and three above-ground floors and carries products from 870 brands.
The concept and product lineup were tailored to Hongdae, a major commercial district popular with foreign tourists and people in their 20s and 30s.
"Beauty Onnuri Pharmacy" occupies the basement level, offering customized selections centered on high-performance cosmetics and inner-beauty products as part of the company's "Pharmacy Beauty" strategy.
The first and second floors feature 600 brands, 70 percent of which are indie labels, highlighting promising K-beauty products. The third floor includes the unmanned robot cafe "Azny Island" and an outdoor terrace for visitors' convenience.
Starting with the Hongdae store, Musinsa Beauty plans to discover emerging K-beauty brands with strong growth potential and expand its offline customer touchpoints.
Through Sept. 13, the company will give the first 100 customers each day who spend at least 45,000 won a "Beauty Goody Bag" worth 180,000 won. It will also offer 20 percent discount coupons to members and special benefits for foreign tourists.
"We aim to establish ourselves as a platform that creates new growth opportunities for K-beauty brands," a Musinsa Beauty official said.
