SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's foreign reserves rebounded in October on increased foreign currency assets and management profits, the central bank said Wednesday.
The country's foreign reserves stood at US$443.16 billion as of end-October, up $2.6 billion from a month earlier, according to data from the Bank of Korea (BOK).
The balance fell in September after rising for three consecutive months from June.
The BOK attributed the monthly increase to a rise in foreign currency deposits held by financial institutions and management profits.
Foreign securities, including U.S. Treasuries, fell $3.59 billion from a month earlier to $382.43 billion at end-October, accounting for 86.3 percent of the country's total foreign reserves.
The value of foreign currency deposits rose $6.32 billion to $36.27 billion, while special drawing rights (SDRs) fell $70 million to $15.41 billion.
Gold bullion holdings remained unchanged at $4.79 billion.
