SEOUL, Sept. 28 (Yonhap) -- The budget ministry said Monday it has briefed a delegation of senior Vietnamese government officials on South Korea's public financial management policies.
Kang Young-kyu, a senior official in charge of future strategy at the budget ministry, met with the delegation led by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi, according to the Ministry of Planning and Budget.
During the meeting, South Korea outlined its fiscal policies, including its approach to public financial management, and the two sides discussed bilateral exchanges, the ministry said.
The visit followed a recommendation from the World Bank, with Vietnam seeking to draw lessons from South Korea's fiscal policies and reform experience, it added.
The budget ministry said it plans to continue sharing its experience in budget management and future strategy with major partners, including Vietnam, and work to identify specific cooperation projects.
