SEOUL, Oct. 27 (Yonhap) -- The 15th Seoul Record Fair will be held at PUBG Seongsu in Seoul's Seongdong district from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, organizers said Tuesday.
First held in 2011, the Seoul Record Fair was launched to support the survival and development of record retailers in South Korea, which at one point faced the threat of disappearing, and to provide a venue where music industry players, including labels and musicians, can promote and sell new music and albums.
This year's fair will feature around 60 stores, labels and brands, including participants from Japan and Hong Kong, with more than 40 albums being released and sold for the first time.
Limited-edition releases from the Seoul Record Fair will include a vinyl edition of Lim Hyun-jung's 2003 album "A Year Out... In The Island," which features her signature song "Love Is Like Spring Rain... Farewell Is Like Winter Rain."
Visitors will also be able to find albums by bands such as Sultan of the Disco and singer-songwriters Lucid Fall, Baek Hyun-jin and Bronze.
Various programs will also be held, including a special talk by Sultan of the Disco and listening sessions featuring music played on vinyl records.
