SEOUL, Aug. 4 (Yonhap) -- A media exhibition celebrating the 20th debut anniversary of K-pop group BIGBANG will be held in Seoul.
The exhibition, titled "COSMOS," is part of the group's 20th anniversary project, alongside a fan event on the Han River on Aug. 19 and the opening of its world tour, "XX : COSMOS," in Goyang, just northwest of Seoul, from Aug. 21-23.
Creative Mutt, the organizer, said Tuesday that the exhibition will reinterpret BIGBANG's two decades of music, memories and journey with fans through a new form of media art incorporating cutting-edge entertainment technology.
A prequel exhibition will be held at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, followed by the main exhibition at "dududo SEOUL," an underground cultural space between City Hall Station and Euljiro 1-ga Station. Detailed exhibition dates will be announced later.
Visitors will be able to experience immersive media installations featuring artificial intelligence, real-time holograms, extended reality (XR), augmented reality (AR) and next-generation 3D motion graphics.
The exhibition's title, "COSMOS," reflects the cosmic concepts of connection, relationships and continuity, symbolizing "everything that has existed in the past and present, and will continue to exist in the future."
The project is jointly presented by YG Entertainment and Creative Mutt. The organizer previously drew 250,000 visitors across 11 cities worldwide with BIGBANG member G-Dragon's solo media exhibition, "Ubermensch."
