LONDON, Dec. 24 (Yonhap) -- British rock band Coldplay who released a collaboration with K-pop sensation BTS, will drop their last album in 2025.

Coldplay's lead vocalist Chris Martin said on BBC Radio 2, "Our last proper record will come out in 2025, and after that, I think we will only tour."

"And maybe we'll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then," Martin added.

Jo Whiley, the program’s host, shared the news before the show with Martin, airing on Dec. 24 (GMT).

Martin told a different program in October they intended to make three more albums and stop.

The lead vocalist also said, "In the way that the [Rolling] Stones do, it will be so cool if we can still be touring in our late 70s."

Whiley said she wasn't quite sure if Martin was joking or being serious.

The band Coldplay dropped a collaboration single, “My Universe,” with K-pop superstars BTS.
