SEOUL March 21 (Yonhap) -- “We as members of NMIXX have included stories regarding love, wisdom and courage where one slowly changes as those emotions and traits help them transform.” addressed Sullyoon of NMIXX throughout the media showcase of group’s first mini album “Expergo” which took place on March 20.
Moreover, the group stated “We would like to be on a fan made video of us receiving the grand prize from a music program.”
“Expergo” is NMIXX’s first mini album since their debut and four months since they last released single album suitable for winter “Funky Glitter Christmas.”
Continuing on with the overall theme of game like reality through the album of “Entwurf” group NMixx showcased the alternative reality of Docking Station.
Since the word docking which has a meaning of connecting one with something of other, the group has selected connection between audiences from various background as their key to the latest album. The name of the album “Expergo” is a Latin for awakening.
Haewon of NMIXX addressed “Starting with our debut track ‘O.O’ to ‘Dice’ we have dealt with us going on a journey, however this album depicts a story of NMIXX meeting with various people throughout our journey.”
The album “Enxpergo” includes title track “Love Me Like This” followed by “Young Dumb Stupid,” “Paxxword,” “Just did it,” “My Gosh,” and “Home” in total of 6 tracks.
“Love Me Like This” is a R&B style of track where a British producer team who have worked with TWICE, EXO, TVXQ and more in the past, team LDN Noise worked on the track.
The music video of the title track “Love Me Like This” is very similar to the old film Wizard of OZ. and to explain further of such relativity Sullyoon of NMIXX stated “We have used the idea of ‘Wizard of OZ’ in order to smoothly incorporate the idea of our own unique universe.
NMIXX stepped into the music scene by releasing a single “AD MARE” in February of 2022, and managed to successfully sold over a million copies of their album, receiving a lot of love by their fans.
The group started off with total of 7 members, however due to personal issue, member Jini dropped out of the group in December of 2022, therefore six of the members have returned with their first mini album ‘Expergo.’ This will be the group’s first album as six member girl group.
Haewon of NMIXX addressed “We are working very hard to solidify our image and uniqueness as a group,” adding “We are certain our loving fans, Nswer will continue to support us and love us as a group NMIXX.”
