SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- Heeseung, a member of K-pop boy group Enhypen, has undergone surgery after feeling pain in his toe, the singer's agency Belift Lab announced Monday.
On the online fan community Weverse, operated by K-pop powerhouse Hybe Co., Belieft Lab explained that "Heeseung visited the hospital after he felt pain in his right toe while performing for Enhypen's first full-length album activities," adding, "As a result, he was diagnosed with epidermoid cysts and went into surgery on Monday after he was recommended by the medical staff to receive prompt treatment.
"Since the hospital recommended Heeseung to fully rest for a week after the surgery, the singer is currently taking some time off to heal," Belift Lab said.
The agency also announced that if the recovery takes longer than expected, Heeseung may be restricted to certain performances for Enhypen's upcoming fan meeting stage on Nov. 19.
"We will decide how Heeseung will participate in the event in a way that is safe for the artist and while following the medical staff's recommendations.
