'Music Bank In Paris' successfully sells out 33 thousand tickets

SEOUL April 10 (Yonhap) -- “I have been on a bus from Croatia to Paris for 24 hours to see K-pop boy group Stray Kids perform, some might think I’m crazy but I could not miss such chance.”

Paris La Defense Arena was packed with fans from all over Europe who were excited to witness the 16th Music Bank’s World tour.

When officials who control access to the concert hall guide the audiences on where to line up and to go in French, they often noticed the visitors struggle to speak English because they couldn't understand what they were saying.

Croatian university students, Annamaria and Mia, who met in a line that was endless ahead of the concert, addressed that they spent the whole day traveling to watch Stray Kids' performance.

Moreover, Anastasia from Slovenia, stated that she got close to a group of people while talking about K-pop on Twitter and decided to participate at the concert together by bus, could not find any signs of tiredness even after a long trip.

Those wearing headbands with their favorite singers' names written in Korean were also wearing necklaces containing pictures of singers they like. Fans who lined up at held their smartphone in one hand and fan goods on their other hand.

The twins, Elaina and Tilara, could not hide their excitement, stating that they arrived in Paris earlier on the day in a car driven by their parents from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to see THE BOYZ perform.

Elaina is a fan of NCT, but she also likes THE BOYZ, which Tillara likes. They looked excited, saying they were excited to see the performance they had not seen in person for the past three years due to the COVID-19.

Nine teams, including Mamamoo, The Boyz, Stray Kids, AB6IX, CRAVITY, P1Harmony, ENHYPEN, Ive and NMIXX, participated in the performance which lasted about four hours.

Paris La Defense Arena is a place where world-class singers such as Maroon Five, Imagine Dragons, and Celine Dion holds their concerts, and it is able to host over 33,000 audiences, tickets for the concert were completely sold out on the day of the Music Bank World Tour.

The South Korean Embassy in France addressed that they have invited French government officials and 60 diplomatic from more than 20 countries, stationed in Paris to hold a reception ahead of the concert.

The embassy addressed, that the performance attracted a lot of interest from all across Europe, and continued on by carefully asking for interests regarding the Korean culture, including K-pop which could lead to the support of hosting 2030 Busan World Expo.

The live performance will be aired on KBS 2TV and the date has not been set yet.
