Lizzy to hear first trial results on the 28th for drunk driving and car crashing

SEOUL, Oct. 25 (Yonhap) -- The first trial results of actress Lizzy (real name Park Soo-young, 29) for committing a car accident due to drunk driving will be finalized on the 28th.

The Seoul Central District Court will open a final hearing for the actress on the 28th who was charged for drunk driving and for dangerous driving under the Act on aggravated punishment of certain crimes, according to the legal circle on the 24th.

Park was sent to court for having drunk driving at around 10:12 p.m. on May 18 near the southern end of the Yeongdong Bridge, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, crash into a taxi ahead and ended up injuring the driver.

Her blood alcohol level at the time was found to be over 0.1 % which was more than enough for revocation of her license.

“I feel regret and guilt everyday and am repenting even in my dreams,” said Park in court. She admitted all her crimes and the prosecutor sought 1-year prison sentence.

Lizzy debuted as a member of After School in 2010 and formed a unit group Orange Caramel as well. She has been an actress since 2018.
