SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Yonhap) -- The cast of Netflix original "Squid Game" will leave for the U.S. to attend the 28th Screen Actors Guild(SAG) Awards.
According to Netflix and on Wednesday, actors Lee Jung-jae, Jung Ho-yeon, Park Hae-soo, Kim Joo-ryeong, and Anupam Tripathi will appear in the SAG awards ceremony, which will be held on Feb. 27(U.S. Time).
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk will also join the awards ceremony to cheer for the nominated actors.
O Yeong-su, Wi Ha-joon, and Heo Sung-tae, who won the Golden Globes Best TV Supporting Actor Award, will not make it to the event due to other schedules.
"Squid Game" has earned 4 nominations, including outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a drama series, by a stunt ensemble in a television series, by a male actor in a leading role(Lee Jung-jae), and by a female actor in a supporting role(Jung Ho-yeon).
The awards ceremony will be held on Feb. 28 morning(KST).
