SEOUL January 20 (Yonhap) -- “If Tom Cruise can do it I might have a chance of also being able to film action movies until his age as well,” adding “I guess the way to keep yourself young, is to simplify your life and minimizing your nightlife.” addressed Hong Kong action movie actor Donnie Yen throughout the press conference held during for his upcoming movie “Sakra” on January 19.
Continuing on actor stated “I was born in 63 which means, I am 60 years old. Some people say age is only a number, however they don’t act out what they say.”
“My body might not be like it used to be, however it provides me with motivation to continue on with the film production. My will to be one of the best movie stars still fuels my motivation and that is how I think I manage to continue on with producing movies.” addressed Donnie Yen throughout the press conference.
The showcased movie “Sakra” originates from a Chinese novel “Demi-gods and Semi Devils ” by Jin Yong.
Movie takes place in Song Dynasty, about 1000 years ago, where both Song dynasty and Liao Dynasty goes struggles. The movie starts off by showcasing a short story of a famous group leader Qiao Feng who gets framed and leaves the group.
Donnie Yen plays the role of Qiao Feng and showcases fantastic actions throughout the upcoming movie, “Sakra.” Actor who have become one of the greatest action stars through his appearances in “IP Man” series addressed that he participated in the production with his mind on providing the most realistic atmosphere of the era.
Donnie Yen not only participated in the movie as an actor, but he also directed the film, trained actors with martial arts, and worked on the production side as well.

Music included within the movie was worked by the music director Choi Chul-ho known for his tracks within “The Slave Hunters” in 2010. Donnie Yen who came across director Choi’s music contacted him for a collaboration.
Music director Choi addressed “Donnie Yen as an actor and as a director feels very different,” adding “He is a perfectionist, hence we talked a lot throughout the production.”
