SEOUL,
Oct. 31 (Yonhap) -- G-Dragon of K-pop band BIGBANG is returning with his new digital single Power later on Thursday, marking his first solo release in seven years since his 2017 mini-album Kwon Ji Yong.
The song, which combines a powerful beat with intense rap, will be available on streaming platforms starting at 6 p.m., according to his agency, Galaxy Corporation.
During his appearance on tvN’s show "You Quiz on the Block" the previous day, G-Dragon introduced Power as a song centered on the concept of strength.
"For me, strength comes from music," he said, adding that his seven-year hiatus gave him insight into the influence of media. He explained, "The song reflects on the power of media and explores the idea of blending and balancing different kinds of power."
