SEOUL, June 5 (Yonhap) -- A long-term memorial space honoring the late ASTRO’s Moonbin will open at a Buddhist temple in South Korea, the group’s agency said Sunday.
“We fully sympathize with Aroha (ASTRO’s fanbase), who wish to honor Moonbin for a longer period of time. As so, after going through a long and careful discussion with his bereaved family, we have decided to prepare an off-site memorial space for Moonbin,” according to Fantagio in a statement released on its official fan cafe.
While Moonbin himself was not a Buddhist, his family members requested for the memorial space to be set up at Gukcheongsa, a temple near Namhansanseong in Gyeonggi Province. His fans will be able to honor Moonbin at the new “Moon Space” from June 7 (KST).
“We hope Aroha can visit this space whenever they wish to receive comfort and soothe their hearts if even a little,” added Fantagio.
