Legendary boy band g.o.d, who have gathered for the first time since 20th debut anniversary concert in 2018, was still humorous and full of energy
g.o.d, at a solo concert in KSPO Dome which took place on Sunday at 5 p.m., showed affections towards the fans, "This concert, music, and the time with you guys are the biggest reason why we live."
When members Park Joon-hyung, Yoon Kye-sang, Danny Ahn, Son Ho-young, and Kim Tae-woo appeared on the stage singing "One Candle," biggest cheer came out from the full house.
g.o.d who marks its 23rd debut anniversary was full of dignity and relaxed like any other idols. Kim Tae-woo livened up the mood saying "You guys are good," while Son Ho-young brought out people's reaction by saying "Ready to have fun?"
The stage heated up when the band performed "To Mother," which is well known for the lyrics "My mom said she doesn't like jjajangmyeon." Once the chrous "That's how we live, regret, and cry~" came out, everyone sang along.
After singing "Love and Remember," they greeted the fans saying "We have began the last concert in Seoul." Park Joon-hyung made a joke with his unique humor, "When does train and bus end at tonight."
After the opening, Son Ho-young introduced their song "An Ordinary Day" by saying, "We hope the days you guys have cried and laughed pass as 'ordinary days' with us."
This concert felt like a collaborative stage of singers and fans. When the members handed over the mic to the audiences, fans took the mic, finishing the stage.
When the members were singing "Again," except the rapping part of Danny Ahn and Park Joon-hyung, fans finished the whole song.
There was also an event of giving out signed posters to fans who have worn unique clothes to the concert.
Although their were many competitive candidates like a quartet female g.o.d, high school fan of Danny Ahn, and fan who came with their children, the prize went to the fan who dressed up as Elsa from "Frozen."
The highlight of the concert was "Sky Blue Promise" from 8th regular album. g.o.d sang songs jumping around the stage like a child, and fans responded by shaking the sticks dyed in sky blue.
The band sang a total of 21 songs at the 200 minute concert.
Kim Tae-woo said, "I am so thankful for presenting me this memory at December of 2022."
Son Ho-young, already moved to tears, said, "I am so thankful that we could get together although it took awhile," adding, "Thank you for filling all the seats and cheering us without forgetting about us."
g.o.d, debuted in 1999 with first regular album "Chapter 1," was loved by the public for many hit songs.
