SEOUL February 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean broadcasting provider, TV chosun will be showcasing their latest series “Lady Durian”(literal translation) by writer Lim Sung-han also known for his pen name Phoebe in June of 2023, addressed Production Company High Ground on Wednesday.
“Lady Durian” is written by Lim Sung-han known for his well known series “See and See again,” “Dear Heaven,” “Princess Aurora,” and more.
The overall story of the upcoming drama series is under its veil however actoress Choi Myung-gil, Park Joo-mi, actor Kim Min-jun, and more known for their previous appearance in writer Lim Sung-han’s production will reappear throughout the series.
Production company High Ground disclosed 12 of the other upcoming series that are expected to premiere throughout 2023. The company plans to showcase 3 times more series compare to 2022 where they showcased 4 series in total.
Currently TV chosun’s “Red Ballon” and tvN’s “The Heavenly Idol” written by Lim Sung-han are still on air while “Divorce Attorney Shin” will premiere in March 4 of 2023 through JTBC, whereas “Nice Guy,” (literal translation) which is a collaborative piece done by director Song Hae-sung, from movie “Failan” and writer Kim Woon-kyung from “Steal Heart” will go under production within the second and third quarter of 2023, and “Happy End” (literal translation) featuring actress Jang Na-ra will be showcased towards the end of 2023.
Moreover, human fantasy genre series “The Sense” (literal transition) “Sword,” and more were included within the list of upcoming series.
High Ground has expanded their business from Movies to webtoon as well.
“Secret” which is a remake of Taiwanese film by the same name featuring Actor Do Kyung-soo and “The Rader” featuring actor Jang Dong-gun actress Kim Hee-ae and more is waiting for its premiere, whereas webtoon
“Monster” (literal translation) which is a collaborative work between animation production company Dream Factory Studio and High Ground is current being showcased through Kakao Page and Kako Webtoon.
Kim Hwan-cheol the representative of High Ground addressed “For the past 10 years, we have laid solid foundation as a multi studio,” adding “We plan to acquire professional production label and more to increase our growth and ability to work in various angles.”
