SEOUL, April 8 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actress IU has surpassed 10 million subscribers on her official YouTube channel.
According to the music industry on April 7, IU shared a photo and a video clip capturing the milestone moment through her social media the previous day, celebrating the achievement with fans.
“I’ve officially become a YouTuber with a Diamond Play Button,” she said, referring to YouTube’s recognition for channels with over 10 million subscribers. “I’ll work to become a 10-million-subscriber YouTuber who makes even more enjoyable content. Thank you once again to all 10 million and thirteen of you for your support.”
IU launched her official YouTube channel in February 2017 and reached the 10-million mark in 8 years and 2 months.
She recently starred as Ae-soon Oh in the Netflix drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, which has been enjoying strong viewership.
