SEOUL, Sept. 17 (Yonhap) -- K-pop star BLACKPINK's second full-length album "BORN PINK" sold more than one million copies on the day of its release.
According to the music industry on Saturday, 1,011,000 copies of the album were sold based on Hanteo Chart.
This is the first time in the history K-pop girl group has exceeded one million copies on the first day according to Hanteo Chart. 1.01 million copies on the first day of its releases is 1.7 times the sales of 589,000 copies for BLACKPINK's previous album "The Album."
BLACKPINK had more than 2 million pre-orders, predicitng to be the first double million seller in girl group history.
