SEOUL, August 26 (Yonhap) -- The spin off version of South Korean movie “Deliver Us From Evil” will be introduced through global over the top streaming services as a drama series.
According to the production company Hybe Media Corp. and Artist studio on August 26, they are producing a spin off drama, “Ray,” (working title) using one of the characters from the movie “Deliver Us From Evil” Ray.
“Deliver Us From Evil” is an action movie about a contract killer Kim Il-nam acted by Hwang Jung-min who gets drawn into a problem due to his latest mission and hunter Ray acted by Lee Jung-jae, who is in pursuit of Kim Il-nam.
The movie premiered throughout the summer of 2020 and successfully attracted over 4.3 million audiences during the pandemic.
Upcoming spin off drama “Ray” will be featuring the behind story of character ray on how he became the killer and his fight against various villains.
The production company stated that South Korean actor Lee Jung-jae might participate in the production of the drama as a director.
Writer Kim Bo-tong and director Shin Woo-seok and Hong Won-chan will working as the creator. Also director Hong Kyung-pyo who has worked on “Deliver Us From Evil,” “Snow Piercer,” and “Parasite” will join the production crew as well.
