SEOUL, June 15 (Yonhap) -- "When the Lotus Blooms Festival" opened on Wednesday in Miryang city, South Gyeongsang Province.
The main stage of the festival will be held in the Miryang Arena (formerly Miryang Theater Village).
The city of Miryang will present three plays until June 18.
From June 15 till 16, one will be able to see "'The Imaginary Patient" and "Hamlet."
From 5 p.m., "The Imaginary Patient" will be held and "Hamlet" will be held at 8 p.m. for two consecutive days.
"A person who paints time" will be performed on June 17 and 18 at 8 p.m.
This work was selected for the production and distribution support by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and is the winner of the national performing arts creative distribution cooperation project.
The story unfolds according to the memory of Kim Young-sik, an old man who paints the wall ahead of the demolition of the Jeonnam Provincial Office, where the Gwangju Uprsing took place.
All theater performances are free and is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis (010-4665-6442).
The performances from 15~16 receive advance reservations for 50 people each time, and the performances from 17~18 takes 200 advance reservations each time.
