SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- Singer Kim Jang-hoon will host a special 'lying down concert' for individuals with severe disabilities on the day before the 44th day of persons with disabilities, the event's organizer said on the 17th.

The concert is scheduled for 3:00 PM on the 19th at COEX Starfield Library in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, according to the concert planning agency The Mersen.

The 'lying down concert' is an event where individuals with severe impairments can lie down in the front row to enjoy the performance, designed as part of a project to improve awareness of people with impairments.

Kim Jang-hoon has actively engaged in improving awareness on the agenda, previously hosting this event last year and organizing outings titled 'Lying Down Excursions' with individuals with impairments.

This year's concert will feature Kim Jang-hoon, visually impaired pianist Lee Ki-hyun, and chanson singer Monsieur Ko.

Kim Jang-hoon stated, "As a professional artist, I plan to provide many stages for cultural artists with impairments to sustain their livelihoods."

Additionally, he plans to hold performances at Incheon International Airport next month as part of efforts to raise awareness about persons with impairments.
