SEOUL, Mar. 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korean musical collective Balming Tiger, which calls itself a multi-national alternative K-pop group, took home the performance award at the latest U.S. music festival “South by Southwest” (SXSW).
The act won “The SXSW Grulke Prize,” an award won by artists with outstandingly fresh and creative performances.
During their acceptance speech, Balming Tiger celebrated, saying, “We are the very first Asian artists to win this award since this category was created in 2013.”
The eight-piece group, founded in 2018 in Seoul, made a debut with their single “I’m Sick.”
