SEOUL, March 26 (Yonhap) -- The Aewol Township Youth Association in Jeju City announced on Wednesday that the "Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival," one of Jeju’s signature cherry blossom festivals, will take place in Jangjeon-ri on March 29-30.
On the first day, local artists, including the Tamna Martial Arts Troupe, Sori Sarang Eoullim Volunteer Group, and the Aewol Choir, will kick off the festivities.
The opening ceremony, starting at 6:30 p.m., will feature traditional performances by Pungmulpae Mulme and Pungmulgutpae Sinnarak, followed by a grand lighting ceremony and performances by singer Ayan and the band N.O.D.

The second day will include a congratulatory performance by Gatdaegeum, local cultural performances, and a cherry blossom singing contest.
Visitors can also enjoy free hands-on activities such as face painting and keychain making. A cherry blossom photo zone and marketplace will also be available for festivalgoers.
