SEOUL, Feb. 21 (Yonhap) - MBC has announced on Tuesday that it has selected actress Lee Ha-nee as the main character in the new drama "Flower Blooming at Night (translated)."

"Flower Blooming at Night" tells the story of a widow who climbs over the wall at night and leads a double life and becomes entangled with an officer that everyone covets.

Lee Ha-nee plays Jo Yeo-hwa, who has been a widow for 15 years. She is the daughter-in-law of the best noble family, who lives quietly without seeing the world outside the fence while pretending to be a gentle young woman during the day, but takes care of those in need without anyone knowing at night.

Producer Jang Tae-yu, who made the dramas "Hyena," "My Love from the Star," "Deep Rooted Tree" and "Lovers of the Red Sky," has directed it.

It's scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
