'BTS characters' Mobile game to be released in first half of 2022

SEOUL, Apr. 27 (Yonhap) – The mobile puzzle game featuring characters of K-pop superband BTS’ members will be released in the first half of this year.

HYBE announced on Apr. 26, “Prior to the release of the mobile game “BTS Island: In the SEOM,” which utilizes BTS’ Intellectual Property(IP), in the first half of this year, we have opened the pre-registration.”

The game portrays a story of BTS’ members, who were drifted out to sea while having a vacation, arriving at an island with the help of a whale and adapting to the new surroundings.

The members came up with ideas in terms of the game’s title, logo, and design of the characters, and also shared their opinions when working on the soundtrack that will be used as background music, according to HYBE.

HYBE will reveal a total of 4 videos titled “BTS Become Game Developers,” which depict the process of BTS’ members participating in producing the game, through the official YouTube channel of “BTS Island: In the SEOM.”
