SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean singer Lim Young-woong is set to release his second full-length album next month, marking his first such release in three years.

According to his agency Fish Music on Thursday, Lim will drop "IM HERO 2" on August 29. The upcoming album comes three years after his debut full-length album "IM HERO," released in May 2022.

"IM HERO 2" is expected to feature a wide array of genres, including ballad, trot, pop, hip-hop, dance, and folk, showcasing the artist’s musical versatility.

On the same day, Lim’s official YouTube channel unveiled a teaser video in which the singer appears dressed in royal attire and delivers a message to his fan club, "Hero Era."

In the video, Lim takes on the persona of "King Ungjo of Geonhaeng-guk (the Kingdom of Health and Happiness)" and says, “Happiness isn’t something complicated. Just don’t hate others, spend time chatting with loved ones — that’s enough.”

He adds with a smile, “Let’s continue living happily ever after in Geonhaeng-guk with Hero. Let the festivities begin!”

As heart-shaped clouds appear in the sky, the album’s title and release date are revealed, further heightening anticipation among fans.
