SEOUL December 20 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group New Jeans’ latest release “Ditto” topped major streaming platforms in South Korea foreshadowing their upcoming album’s success.
According to the music industry on Tuesday, “Ditto” topped S.Korea’s biggest music streaming website Melon’s “Top 100” chart.
New Jeans who debuted on October of 2022, successfully topped the music chart with group’s debut track “Attention” and “Hype boy.” Although “Hype Boy” was released four months ago, the track is ranked fourth on S.Korea’s music chart following the lead of ‘Ditto.’
“Ditto” fits into the genre of Baltimore club dance music with unique twist of New Jeans. Moreover, the track “Ditto” is a pre release track from group’s upcoming single album “OMG” which showcases group’s excitement for their first winter with their loving fans.
Just like group’s debut album, producer 250 participated in the production, and this time, Minji of New Jeans participated in writing the lyrics.
The music video for “Ditto” splits into 2 sections, where director Shin Woo-seok of Studio Dolphiners Film took charge of overall production received positive feedback for showcasing unique color of individual members and interesting storytelling technique.
