SEOUL, Mar. 31 (Yonhap) -- “We can’t have the access to the areas where the investigative agency’s public authority is needed, but we paid attention to thorough verification until the previous stage,” said Kang Young-sun CP.

It is no exaggeration to say that one of the keys to the success of the recent program in which non-celebrities appear is the verification of the cast since there are controversies over school violence and assault nowadays.

The production team of MBC's "Fantasy Boys,” which features a large number of male idol trainees, emphasized that they worked hard to verify the cast.

At the press conference of "Fantasy Boys" held online on Thursday, CP Kang Young-sun, who was in charge of planning, said, "We selected participants and had about three personal interviews, and thoroughly verified all their social media posts and comments."

He said, "We believe in the participants who have been verified and think of them as our partners."

"Fantasy Boys" is the second season of "My Teenage Girls," which produced girl group CLASS:y, and this time it will carry out a project to foster global boy group.

A total of 54 people will participate, including Yaya, a famous Thai actor, Moon Hyun-bin, a former trainee of Mnet's "Produce X 101" (2019), and Nam Seung-hyun, a former member of the group N.CUS.

The lineup of producers who will guide the participants is also spectacular. There are Jeon So-yeon of the group (G)I-DLE, 2PM Woo Young, WINNER Kang Seung-yoon, and music producer Jinyoung.

Jeon So-yeon said, "The enthusiasm of the participants is similar to that of season 1, but there are many friends with various personalities than last season," adding, "I valued the participants' characters because I thought they should be able to stand out."

It is also noteworthy that the semester system was introduced to compensate for the disappointment of season 1, when participants were not evenly coached by producers.

Jinyoung introduced, "This season's unique difference is that teachers and students continue to grow by working together through the semester system, not just giving songs and producing them."
