SEOUL March 10 (Yonhap) -- Japanese animation “Suzume” will be attracting its viewers throughout first week of its premiere.

According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council on Friday, “Suzume” which premiered on March 8 successfully attracted over 278 thousadn audiences landing safely on top of South Korean box office. Moreover, “Suzume” successfully scored 52.5 percent reservation rate which is the highest rate of reservation rate among movies being screened at the moment.

The Movie “Suzume” directed by, Shinkai Makoto, depicts a story of a female high school student Suzume’s journey to close the door which spreads tragedies with a male protagonist who has turned into a chair.

Along with “Suzume” Japanese animation “The First Slam Dunk” and movie version of “Demon Slayer” is waiting for the audiences throughout the weekend.

“The First Slam Dunk” which has set a profound record among Japanese animation is expected to exceed over 4 million audiences throughout the weekend. According to the database, over 3.9 million audiences have watched the movie so far.

Moreover, suspense genre of movie “Knock at the Cabin,” romance movie “HYTTI NRO 6, COMPARTMENT NO. 6” will greet the movie goers throughout the weekend.
