SEOUL, Oct. 7 (Yonhap) -- Actor Oh Young-su the ‘gganbu’ to actor Lee Jung-jae from Netflix global hit “Squid Game,” is said to have turned down an advertisement modeling offer for Gganbu Chicken.
“Gganbu Chicken” offered Oh to stand model for their brand, but the actor declined stating that he wishes to stay loyal to his status as an actor, according to the food industry on the 6th.
Oh played the grandpa who proposed Lee to be ‘gganbu’s when playing marbles in “Squid Game.”
Becoming “Gganbu”s is partnering up when playing games such as ttakji or marbles.
When the scene became an issue online, there were comments saying shouldn’t Oh model for “Gganbu Chicken.”
