Netflix dating show "Single’s Inferno" returns with season 5 in January

SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- Netflix’s hit Korean dating reality show "Single’s Inferno" is set to return with its fifth season next January.

Netflix said Tuesday that season 5 of its original series "Single’s Inferno" will premiere on Jan. 20.

This marks the first time a Korean variety show on Netflix has reached a fifth season.

The franchise has enjoyed strong popularity both at home and abroad. Season 1 became the first Korean variety show to enter Netflix’s global top 10 non-English TV series list, while seasons 2 and 3 remained on the chart for four and five consecutive weeks, respectively.

Producer Kim Jae-won said season 5 focuses on the “thrill” of classic dating shows.

“Viewers can look forward to fascinating relationship dynamics they’ve never seen before,” he said.
