SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean girl group Girls Generation’s first entertainment show in 5 years by the broadcasting service JTBC, “Soshi Tamtam” is drawing a lot of attention from fans.
According to the data collected by Smart Media Rep, which is a joint venture between MBC and SBS founded in 2014 which engages in online advertising business based on broadcasting contents including terrestrial broadcasters and others, on July 19, the accumulated view counts of clips from “Soshi Tamtam” exceed over 4.85 million views after only two episodes and the teaser video for the TV show, announced Smart Media Rep on Sunday.
Even before the first episode of “Soshi Tamtam” aired, the teaser video of the show drew a lot of attention and exceeded over 1 million views with the news that the entire members of Girls Generation will appear on the show. The first episodes of “Soshi Tamtam” recorded total of 2.11 million views were as the second episode of the show attracted 1.74 million views.
“Soshi Tamtam” is an entertainment TV show, by K-pop girl group Girls Generation; members will try out various different concepts throughout the show before they release their 15th anniversary album.
Starting with friendcation, rural experiences, mystery games, talk show, and more, members of Girls Generation will going through various missions showing off various charms throughout daily life people couldn’t see from the stage.
The most viewed clip from “Soshi Tamtam” is a highlight clip from Girls Generation’s second day of their friendcation. The clip is about Girls Generation members who have all reached their 30s, eating ramen to relieve their hangover in the morning. This clip accumulated over 860 thousand views.
The second most viewed clip is about Girls Generation’s Sunny making fun of Taeyeon who is suspicious about eating food which was provided without the members having to go through special missions. This clip attracted over 300 thousand views.
Looking into the age group of clip inquiry, majority of the people were in their 20s. The share by age accounted 60.9 percent in their 20s, followed by 22.8 percent in their 30s and 11.2 percent in their 40s and more.
