SEOUL, July 1 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER is set to release its latest summer single "HOT SAUCE" at 6 p.m. Tuesday, YG Entertainment said.
"HOT SAUCE" is a dance track that reinterprets old-school 1980s hip-hop through BABYMONSTER’s unique lens. The lyrics use the metaphor of spicy food to express confidence and boldness, capturing the group’s fearless energy.
The track features a synthesizer-driven bass line, upbeat brass sections, and rhythmical beats paired with dynamic rap verses. Its refreshing vocals and addictive chorus enhance the song’s vibrant and energetic mood.
"Despite a packed tour schedule, the members poured their heart and effort into this release," YG Entertainment stated. "We hope 'HOT SAUCE' helps fans cool down and enjoy the heat of summer."
BABYMONSTER is also preparing to release another new song in September, followed by a mini album in October. Next month, the group will perform at Japan’s major summer music festival "Summer Sonic" and embark on their second North American tour.
