SEOUL, April 30 (Yonhap) -- Krafton Inc., a S. Korean video game company known for developing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, has decided to donate 15 million rupees (220 million won) to India, where the number of infected patients are soaring due to the corona virus.

The donations were delivered to the 'PM CARES Fund,' an emergency disaster fund under the Indian government, through Krafton Inc.'s Indian subsidiary, PUBG Studios, which was established late last year.

Donations will be used for purchasing medical supplies such as oxygen bottles in order to treat patients with COVID-19.

Krafton's CEO, Kim Chang-han said, "After hearing the news about India's struggle with fighting COVID-19, I have decided to donate money in hopes that it will somewhat help overcome difficult times."
