SEOUL, Nov. 16 (Yonhap) -- While Korea has begun slowly returning to the normal days before the COVID-19 pandemic, the music scene has started its movements as well.

As the end of the year, which is known as the highlight season of every year to those in the music industry, is not so far away, top-tier singers are announcing their performance schedules. Especially K-pop stars seem to have decided to resume their overseas activities starting from holding a concert in Korea.

The first band to begin overseas activities has turned out to be, no doubt, BTS, according to the music scene Tuesday.

The world-class super band will hold their offline concert “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA” at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on November 28th~29th and December 1st~2nd.

It has been 2 years after the band’s last offline stage.

The concert is technically the first face-to-face event since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tickets were already sold out as the ARMYs around the world became excited at the news and some are being resold in high prices around some million Korean won.

After the concert, the band is planning to attend a music concert in the U.S.

BTS’ members will be on “2021 Jingle Ball”’s stage in LA on the 3rd of December. Some are guessing that the band may stay in the U.S. for further schedules, but official details have not been confirmed yet.

As ‘living with COVID-19’ measures are in full swing in Korea as well, other K-pop singers have also gone into immediate actions.

9-piece girl band TWICE, who has recently returned with their 3rd regular album “Formula of Love : O+T=<3” have announced a 1 year and 10 months awaited offline stage performance.

Starting with a concert in Seoul from the 24th to the 26th of December at Olympic Gymnastics Arena (KSPO Dome) in Songpa-gu, Seoul, they will set out on a world tour to perform in five cities in America in February next year.

Their management agency, JYP Entertainment, has hinted the possibility for more concerts by adding “AND MORE” on the poster for the band’s world tour schedules.

Boy band NCT 127 has also launched activities aiming an expansion to global stage.

The band will hold their second world tour “NCT NEO CITY : SEOUL - THE LINK” with the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on the 17th~19th of December as their first destination.

The band will be the first singer to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome in about 1 year and 11 months since the spread of the COVID-19 infection.

Boy-group ATEEZ will hold “THE FELLOWSHIP : BEGINNING OF THE END,” a world tour connecting 12 cities around the world from January 2022 in Seoul to Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris and Madrid.

The band, who debuted in October 2018, has been striving towards the global stage since their rookie days by holding world tours.

Also, bands such as MONSTA X and VERIVERY have released their tour schedules as well.

“In other countries, those who are vaccinated do not need to abide to quarantine guidelines such as putting distance with others in concerts. So, pop singers, too, have been launching tour concerts releasing their next year’s schedules,” said Jung Min-jae South Korean pop-music critic.

The critic predicts that K-pop groups who have been actively working in Korea and in other countries will soon unveil their plans for activities.

“Overseas activities such as world tours will fully be recovered by next year,” added Jung.

The Korean music market is also expecting to return to its original state following the ‘living with COVID-19” measures.
