Netlfix to release Korean remake of Taiwanese mega-hit drama
SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) – South Korean remake of popular Taiwanese show “Someday or One Day” will be released on Netflix next month, the U.S. video streamer said on Friday.
The Korean remake, titled “Into Your Time,” starring actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Jeon Yeo-been, and Kang Hoon, will be rolled out on Sept. 8 on the Netflix Original section, according to Netflix. All 12 episodes will be simultaneously released.
Into Your Time tells the story of Joon-hee, played by Jeon, who misses her long-time lover Yian, played by Ahn, after his sudden departure due to an accident. One day, Joon-hee plays a mysterious cassette tape, and finds herself transported back to the year of 1998.
Everyone calls and treats Joon-hee as a high school student named Min-joo. In this weird situation, she encounters Shi-hyun, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Yian. Shi-hyun's close friend In-gyu, played by Kang, develops a one-sided crush on Min-joo, leading to a complex love triangle.
The original series “Someday or One Day” gained fast popularity in Taiwan in 2019. The remake is directed by Kim Jin-won, who took the helm of multiple K-dramas 'My Country' (2019) and 'Innocent Man' (2012), directs this remake.
