SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) -- Hadong county, South Gyeongsang province announced on the 18th that the "25th Hadong Wild Tea Culture Festival" will be held in the tea groves of Hwagae and Agyang-myeon.

The festival will be held offline for the first time in three years since the 2019 festival due to COVID-19. It will provide the time and space for people exhausted from COVID-19 to rest.

With the slogan, "The king's tea, tea rises to the world beyond a thousand years!," it has a total of 44 official performances with 5 official programs, 10 tea evaluation and lecture programs, and 24 public relations hall for the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo 2023 along with many experience events.

Specifically, it provides a theme performance and the commemorative performance for the Hadong World Tea Expo. It will have performances by famous singers, along with traditional songs companied by traditional tea.

In particular, new programs including tea paper craft class, tea wish tree, Balinese craft exhibition and experience, along with green tea workshop will be prepared.

Apart from this, various experience booths are operated including the representative programs of the festival, the competition for the Best Beautiful Tea Party in South Korea, Tea Blending competition, Memories of Dalgona experience and many more.

Among the festival programs, "Balinese craft exhibition," and "Walking on the Millennium Tea Field" can be applied in advance from the website of the 25th Hadong Wild Tea Culture Festival (wildteafestival.kr).

"As it is the first offline festival in three years, we will conuct an experience and tasting program that can make use of the characteristics of tea, and contribute to increasing the income of farmers by promoting the sale of green tea and local agricultural products," said an official from Hadong county.
