Lee Hyuk, who was the only Korean to reach the final for this year's Chopin Competition, also presented his own interpretation of Chopin's songs at the competition.

Russian-American pianist Olga Cairn chaired the jury. All the assigned songs for this competition were Chopin's. A total of 20 judges evaluated 11 semi-finalists and 6 finalists. Hyuk Lee performed Fantasy Op.49 for the final.

Lee, who is currently attending the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, is scheduled to hold a solo recital at the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul on March 16 next year.
