SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) --NMIXX, a seven-member girl group newly introduced by K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment, will officially debut with a single "AD MARE" on Feb. 22, according to the agency on Thursday.
“AD MARE” is a Latin word meaning "to the sea." In a recently released video, the group also delivered a message saying, "We are trying to move forward to the world like the sea we dream of."
The girl group, which consists of Jinni, Ji-woo, Kyu-jin, Sol-yun, Bae, Hae-won, and Lily, has received great attention both inside and outside the music industry even before its debut was determined.
JYP, which has created success stories of girl groups, such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE, and ITZY, has also formed a separate team for the group’s debut.
Furthermore, more than 61,000 “Blind package” albums were sold in 10 days without disclosing any information.
JYP said, "NMIXX is an ‘all-round group’ where all members are free of positions,” adding, "The group is expected to create a new wave in the music industry with various charms with the expectations of K-pop fans at home and abroad."
