BTS’ Jimin to appear as surprise guest in episode of KBS’ variety show ‘Beat Coin’

SEOUL, Mar. 22 (Yonhap) -- Jimin from the K-pop supergroup BTS will appear in an episode of Korea Broadcasting System’s ongoing variety show “Beat Coin,” which will be aired on Mar. 30, the South Korean broadcaster confirmed Wednesday.

The multi-faceted member will appear as a special guest in an episode where the hosts will do an homage to KBS’ mega-hit variety show “Dangerous Invitation” which was once aired from 2002 to 20023.

Producer Park In-seok, who is in charge of delivering the show, said, “Even the hosts were unaware of the news that Jimin will be visiting as a surprise guest. When he finally appeared, they were all very surprised and loved to have him,” adding, “All the hosts and Jimin poured their hearts into the forthcoming episode. They always do, but they especially worked harder that day.” He then confidently said that viewers may look forward to the episode with Jimin.

The show, led by Joo Woo-jae, Hong Jin-kyung, Kim Sook, Cho Sae-ho, and 2PM’s Jang Woo-young, hits the small screens every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. (KST).
