SEOUL, October 5 (Yonhap) -- K-Beauty EXPO Korea, the biggest beauty EXPO in Korea to energize the export of Korean beauty enterprises, will be held at exhibition hall 1, Kintex, in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, on October 6–8.
The K-beauty EXPO, which marks its 14th year this year, will be held with 400 booths from 320 different enterprises.
KINTEX explained that the main feature of the EXPO held this year is its intensified role as the offline platform to help enterprises expand their business overseas to K-beauty enterprises, which had a sharp decline in meeting their overseas buyers due to COVID-19.
During the offline export conference, buyers from 100 enterprises from 32 countries, mostly invited by KOTRA, will attend and have one-on-one export conferences.
Buyers will visit from countries including North America, Russia, and India, as well as buyers with the largest distribution network in Poland and the Czech Republic.
The organizer said, "In addition to the invited buyers, buyers for more than a thousand people from all around the world have been sending voluntary applications to join the EXPO as a result of the K-Beauty EXPO, which was held in Taiwan, Indonesia, and many more countries."
In addition, officials from the supply of Korean large department stores, markets, Duty Free Shops, home shopping and online malls from NAVER , Shinsegae International, Lotte Home Shopping, Wemakeprice, and many more will be invited to hold purchase consultations in order to generate business revenue in the Korean market,
Especially this year, not only people from traditional platforms, innovative marketing and supply chain platforms are going to attend, but global beauty trend analytics platform businesses such as Meritz Securities, Euromonitor International, Beauty Streams, Wadiz, Tumblbug, and Big Insight will be attending.
There will be diverse events provided for visitors during the period of EXPO.
Visitors who followed the official Instagram of the "K-Beauty Expo" will be given beauty products from participating brands, 233 people per day, and a total of 699 people in order.
Moreover, 100 people in order and 300 people in total who have posted more than three photos of the EXPO scene with a hashtag on their Instagram and blog will be given beauty items, value of 50,000 won.
Application for free admission can be made in advance until Wednesday, and the entrance fee on the spot will be 5,000 won, with citizens of Goyang-si receiving a 50% discount.
