SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- Mnet's idol survival program "I-LAND 2: N/a" (hereafter "I-LAND 2") has finalized the seven members who will debut as the girl group 'izna' after an intense competition.
In the final episode of "I-LAND 2" aired on the 4th, the production team picked Choi Jung-eun, Bang Ji-min, Yoon Ji-yoon, Coco, Yoo Sa-rang, Mai, and Jung Se-bi will debut as 'izna.'
In the last broadcast, the remaining 10 contestants competed for the debut spots. They were divided into two groups of five, each performing one of two new songs, "Drip" and "Fake It," produced by Teddy. Initially, six members were to be selected for the debut, but the main producer, singer Taeyang, announced the addition of Jung Se-bi as an extra member.
Jeon So-mi, who debuted through Mnet's survival program "Produce 101," appeared as the storyteller in the final episode. She remarked, "It feels like just yesterday that I debuted as I.O.I here, and now standing here as a storyteller feels very emotional."
"I-LAND 2," which began airing in April this year, is an observational reality program documenting the competition among 24 contestants for a spot as K-pop artists. The members selected from the original "I-LAND," which aired in 2020, debuted as the boy group ENHYPEN.
