SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) - "Tennis Emperor" Roger Federer has posted a commemorative photo taken with the globally popular girl group BLACKPINK on his social media.
Federer has released a photo taken with four members of BLACKPINK on Saturday (Korea Standard Time) and introduced, "My kids said this was a definite IG post."
World-renowned tennis player Federer’s children have told Federer, "BLACKPINK is so famous that it must be posted on Instagram."
Federer, who married former tennis player Mirka Vavrinec in 2009, had twin daughters that year and twin sons in 2014.
BLACKPINK is currently on a world tour in North America, Europe, and Oceania, and it is Paris, France, where they took pictures with Federer.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) said on its website on Saturday, "Last week, Federer and BLACKPINK met at a charity concert held at the Zenith Concert Hall in Paris, France. The concert was hosted by a charity headed by French President Emmanuel Macron's wife Brigitte Macron."
President Macron is also known to have attended the charity concert and Mrs. Macron also appeared at BLACKPINK’s Paris concert in December last year.
BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa also took a commemorative photo with Mrs. Macron at the charity concert.
Federer, who has won the men's singles title 20 times in a major tennis tournament, retired last year.
