SEOUL, May 18 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singer Mijoo embarked on a solo career after nine years since debuting as a member of de-facto disbanded girl group Lovelyz.
The singer-entertainer showcased her first solo stage for single album "Movie Star" on Wednesday. At the media event, she said, "I feel burdened and thrilled to be on stage by myself."
The two-song album includes title track "Movie Star" and ballad song “Miss You." Movie star is a dance song with distinctive disco rhythms and cheerful melody, which unravels Mijoo's autobiographical story and dream of becoming a star.
All members of Lovelyz, except Baby Soul, left the group's management Woollim Entertainment in late 2021 upon expiration of contract.
