SEOUL, Mar. 24 (Yonhap) -- The popular drama "Itaewon Class” starring Park Seo-joon and Kim Da-mi will be remade in the Japanese version.
JTBC Studio announced on Mar. 24 that it has confirmed the production of a Japanese remake of "Itaewon Class" with Kakao Entertainment and a Japanese broadcasting company.
"Itaewon Class, based on the webtoon of the same title, depicts the start-up legend of young people and drew great attention in Korea, exceeding the highest viewer rating of 16 percent at the time. It also received popularity in Asian countries, including Japan.
The Japanese version of "Itaewon Class" will be produced in 13 episodes with the title "Roppongi Class(tentative title)," and it will be aired throughout Japan this summer.
